Shift Your Perspective: Look Up

Look Up.

Self-care does not need to be something that takes too much of our time or money. Sometimes it can be a simple shift in our attention that allows us to care for ourselves in whatever present moment we are in.

For example, when we look up- we create a pattern interrupt from whatever chatter, story telling, repetitive thoughts the mind is engaging in that make our problems bigger and ourselves feel smaller. Looking up- whether to see the peak of a mountain, the height of a tree, clouds floating by, or a big open blue sky (slide right) brings us perspective and brings the ratio more in line— problems smaller, self part of a bigger plan. We are part of a larger universal plan that we can’t possibly be in total control of. Phew! What a relief. Now with that perspective let’s get back to Sunday. Carry on!
